Students making up exams on TUESDAY, JANUARY 23, must arrange their own transportation.

* Only students who need to make-up Period 7 or 8, and those who received excused absences for earlier make-up exams may use the Intersession Day for make-up. Students with excused absences should reach out to their  teachers to schedule times to make-up missed exams.

DELAYED OPENING SCHEDULE: If there is a two-hour delayed opening, the schedule will be:

  9:30 - 11:30 First Scheduled Period

11:30 - 12:00 Break and Passing

12:00 -   2:00 Second Scheduled Period

  2:05 Bus Departure

If a snow day (school closed) or a 3 hour delay occurs once exams have started, the entire exam schedule will be postponed.  Exams on the day of return will be for the periods scheduled on the snow date.

Break (9:30 - 10:00)

  • Students driving home or getting picked up are asked to leave the building in a prompt manner at the end of their exam. Students being picked up by a parent should exit using the lobby and auditorium exits.

  • Students desiring a quiet place to study will be dismissed to the library or A-Hallway Centers.

  • Breakfast, snacks, and drinks will be available before 7:30, during break, and at noon in the servery.

Exam Guidelines for Students

All students must take their exams during the scheduled time.  No exam will be given outside of the exam testing window, unless specifically approved by an assistant principal.

  • Students who have an excused absence for a scheduled exam must make up that exam during the scheduled make-up period, unless they have another excused absence, or need to make up multiple exams.

Students come to school only when they have exams scheduled.  If they choose to come to school during an unscheduled period, they must report to the Cafeteria.

Students who are testing must be in the room at the start of the exam period.  If they are late, they should report to the security desk to sign in and will be counted as tardy for that day.

Students who arrive in the classroom more than 20 minutes after the start of an exam will not be permitted to test, but may make up the exam during the make-up period if their tardy is excused.

Students will not be excused early from an exam period.

Students will be dismissed at noon on exam days, and buses will leave at 12:15 p.m.

Students who remain in the building during free periods will be directed to the library, the centers, or the Cafeteria.

Students may not stay after school unless they are meeting with a teacher by appointment, have an athletic practice or game, or made an arrangement with their assistant principal. If students are not in one of these situations, and waiting for rides, they are required to do so in the front lobby of the building.
