Assessment & Feedback

How can I design QUIZZES for my students?

  • Using GOOGLE FORMS is easy, offers a range of TYPES of questions you can ask (multiple choice, short answers, check all that apply) in designing a basic quiz. Plus, you can have it automatically score and return work to students.  Better yet, it also has an easy way to provide written feedback on any question when they get it returned to them.
  • Kahoot.com: Millions of teachers and students unleash the magic of learning with Kahoot! Create your own Kahoot in minutes or choose from 30+ million ready-to-play games, play live in class or share student-paced challenges, and dive into game reports to assess learning.

When using Google Classroom, how can I streamline my GRADING & FEEDBACK?

  • Comment Bank: Create a comment bank of frequently used comments.

Are there any ways I can use a VOICE RECORDING to provide FEEDBACK instead of typing it?

  • Turnitin.com has an audio feature in which a teacher can record his or her feedback.  Turnitin also runs in such a way that you will be alerted when a student has or has not accessed such feedback. You can also use “canned comments” as a part of turnitin.com grading.  It lets you load your own into a bank you can drag onto the screen. (*If you would like a Turnitin account, contact C. Angell.)
